Love Da Beat Radio is a diverse online commercial radio station, currently broadcasting in 162 countries across the world. As well as our commercial side, we focus a great deal on the community. Building up young people, to aspire them to be the best.
we believe that equality and diversity should always be at the forefront of our station.
Love Da Beat Radio also known as LDBR, was founded in March 2017, originally called Love The Beat Radio (LTBR) and Incorporated with Companies house in July 2017. The radio station was started as just two computers linked up together playing music from one computer to another.
In April 2018, we moved into our first office, in the Epidote Business Centre based in Forest Hill. In March 2019, we moved From Forest Hill to Penge High Street. Love The Beat Radio, then took over Sydenham Community Radio and renamed it Love The Beat Radio Lewisham. This was a community radio station based in Sydenham Library. In October 2019, Sydenham Library was closing and there was no space for the Community radio station in the Lewisham borough which meant that Love The Beat Radio Lewisham had to shut down. You can still hear its dulcet tones on Tunein Radio app.
In October 2020, Love The Beat Radio re-branded and changed its name to Love Da Beat Radio, giving the station a younger and urban feel to it. We are now working with the local councillors, to help the youth of the area better themselves and to give them a channel to express themselves in the arts.
